Rapid Construction: China Railway Group Erects Prefab Homes in 2 Minutes in Xizang

In the aftermath of a devastating earthquake in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, rapid reconstruction efforts are underway to restore lives and communities. Ganden Village, Chamco Town, Dingri County, was particularly hard-hit, with 56 out of 62 households destroyed.

To aid in the resettlement, China Railway Group Limited (CREC) has swiftly constructed 96 prefabricated houses at the Ganden resettlement site. Demonstrating impressive efficiency, CREC completed 300 houses within just two days, with the fastest setup time recorded at 2 minutes and 7 seconds per house.

Looking ahead, the ambitious project aims to build a total of 1,300 prefabricated homes, expecting full completion within eight days. This rapid deployment not only provides immediate shelter to displaced families but also showcases the potential of prefabricated construction in disaster recovery and future urban development.

By leveraging innovative construction techniques, CREC is setting new benchmarks in rebuilding efforts, ensuring that affected residents receive the support they need promptly and efficiently.
