The Australian Open in Melbourne witnessed impressive performances from Chinese doubles teams, making significant strides in both men's and women's categories.

In the women's doubles, Yuan Yue of China teamed up with Russia's Ekaterina Alexandrova to secure a convincing victory over Poland's Katarzyna Kawa and Belgium's Kimberley Zimmermann with a score of 6-2, 6-1. Their strong serving consistency built early leads, paving the way for a swift advancement to the second round.

The Chinese duo of Wang Xinyu and Zheng Saisai faced a tough challenge against Wang Xiyu and Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan. After splitting the first two sets, Wang and Zheng showcased remarkable resilience, breaking back in the crucial eighth game to clinch the match 7-5.

Guo Hanyu, partnering with Russia's Alexandra Panova, continued her winning streak by defeating the Australian pair Taylah Preston and Lizette Cabrera 6-4, 7-6. This marks Guo's second consecutive year reaching the women's doubles second round.

On the men's side, Zhang Zhizhen of China paired with Tomas Machac from the Czech Republic to overcome Argentina's Guido Andreozzi and France's Theo Arribage with a scoreline of 7-5, 6-4, advancing to the round of 32.

These stellar performances highlight the growing prowess of Chinese players in the international tennis arena, setting a promising tone for the rest of the tournament.
