China and Serbia Strengthen Ties with New Strategic Partnership

In a landmark meeting in Belgrade, the Chinese president emphasized the enduring friendship between China and Serbia, highlighting their comprehensive strategic partnership. The discussions focused on deepening Belt and Road initiatives, with both nations committing to expand high-quality cooperation in infrastructure, new energy, and artificial intelligence (AI).

President Xi Jinping expressed China's commitment to importing quality Serbian agricultural products and announced plans to invite 300 Serbian youths to study in China over the next three years. Additionally, China will support 50 young Serbian scientists in exchange programs, fostering innovation and technological advancements.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic echoed these sentiments, praising China's investment for boosting Serbia's economic and social development. Vucic also affirmed Serbia's support for China's stance on Taiwan and other core issues, underlining the strong political foundation of their relationship.

The leaders signed a joint statement to build a China-Serbia community with a shared future, reinforcing their dedication to multilateralism and international fairness. This partnership not only promises significant economic benefits but also aims to enhance cultural and educational exchanges, solidifying the bond between the two nations.

With thousands of Serbians welcoming President Xi and the signing of several cooperation documents, the meeting marked a new era of collaboration and mutual growth for China and Serbia.
