China's top political advisor, Wang Huning, emphasized the importance of meticulous preparation as the nation gears up for the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Scheduled to commence on March 4, this session plays a pivotal role in shaping China's policy trajectory for the coming years.
Speaking at the 30th Chairperson's Council meeting of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, Wang, a prominent member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, underscored the need for political advisors to align their efforts with the objectives outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025). He stressed that their collective wisdom and dedication are crucial for achieving the set goals and ensuring a successful transition into the next five-year period.
During the meeting, attendees deliberated and approved a draft report detailing the work of the Standing Committee of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, as well as a draft report addressing proposals since the second session. These reports are set to be presented for consideration at the 10th session of the Standing Committee, scheduled for March 1 and 2.
As the CPPCC session approaches, the focus remains on fostering collaboration and strategic planning to drive China's socio-economic development and address emerging challenges on both national and global fronts.
