China Embraces Apple’s Continued Partnership for Mutual Growth

China has expressed its support for Apple's ongoing collaboration with local partners, emphasizing the potential for shared growth and development. In a meeting held in Beijing, Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met with Apple CEO Tim Cook to discuss the expansion of Apple's business in China and the broader China-U.S. economic and trade relations.

During the discussion, Tim Cook pledged to continue long-term development and to increase investments in the Chinese market, reaffirming Apple's commitment to the region. Minister Wang highlighted recent measures by China to open up its market and address concerns of foreign-invested enterprises, inviting Apple to seize these opportunities to further establish its presence.

\"China will further optimize its business environment and continue to provide high-quality services for foreign-funded firms,\" Minister Wang stated. He also emphasized that cooperative economic and trade relations between China and the U.S., grounded in mutual benefits and win-win outcomes, are crucial for both nations’ interests and serve as a stabilizing force in bilateral relations.

Addressing broader economic ties, Wang cautioned against conflating national security with economic interactions, noting that such generalizations can hinder normal trade exchanges. He expressed China's willingness to restore healthy and stable China-U.S. economic relations through regular government-business dialogues.
